who's bright goddamn idea was it to use TORX head caliper bolts?!
Yeah, cause now that they're stripped out, im up a shit creek without a paddle. Got any ideas anyone?

Do you mean the caliper bracket bolts? 60 torx? If so you need a high quality 1/2 drive socket.

yeah yeah, caliper bracket. And i have all high quality stuff. Good thing that Snap-On will be replacing my torx bit for free, because that got pretty mangled in trying to undo these damn bolts

I took mine off, but i have a 91 i dont know if they are the same. i used an allan wrench and a breaker bar thats homemade from a piece of motorcycle handle bar tubing. its hollw but strong. and mine were hard to get off too. but they came off

YEah, a lot of blood, sweat and motherf-in tears, and i got those damn things off.
oh yeah, did i mention i broke 2 matco and 1 snap-on T60 torx bit? yeahh... Such a pain, for such wimpy brakes.

just for future reference - before you try your T60 on them - hit 'em with some PB blast first, let it sit, then heat it up with a torch - works every time.
They're supposed to be a PITA to get off without heat. They're threadlocked from the factory. Oh, and now that you got them out, remember to threadlock them back. I had some come out on me while I was driving. (Yes, I made sure they were snug, I reinstalled them with a breaker bar) - still vibrated loose.
