1964 Lincoln Continental by Lehmann-Peterson - Before Popemobiles acquired their greenhouse-on-a-truck look of later years, this was the sort of ultra-cool ride that the Holy Father could look forward to on his trips to America. A stretched Continental with the roof topped off and an extra windshield added, it served Pope Paul VI for his 1965 visit to New York, and was later airfreighted to Bogota for another trip in 1968. After that it was used for astronaut parades.
