90 Civic-Help-wont shift out of park

Does anybody have any ideas?? The only way I can drive it is to disengage shift lock and start in Neutral then I can shift into drive reverse etc...Just if I put it into park again it won't let me shift out again?? Could it be a Neutral switch?? Puzzled

It may be but as from what I know about neutral safety switches is that it won't go into park and therefore will not allow the vehicle to start... Anyway, I had the same problem in my 93 Teg.. Although I don't remember which one it was it was a fuse.. Check out your fuses and then go from there.. Hope this helps.. Let me know how you make out..
