'99 4.0 exhaust manifold R&R

70,000 miles and the stock exhaust manifold finally gave way. Thinking about replacing it with a Banks header.
I don't have a manual, but just looking at what removal/replacement involves, it doesn't seem too bad.
Anyone out there with simple 1-2-3 steps so I don't take off more stuff than I have to. Any special tools I'll be needing? Thanks.

Yoiu will need some basic tools. Just unbolt the header; after you take care of everything in your way. Probably your air intake, throttle body, wires, hoses etc.

Your vehicle came with an 80000 mile emissions warranty; you may be able to get D-C to replace your exhaust manifold for free.

Well, I am doing the same thing right now....be prepared to feel like you are taking half you engine apart. just remeber to label all your wires before you disconnect them. Get yourself a can of Copperkote and spray the gasket real good on both sides of the gasket. there is more work in removing everything that actually changing out the part.

I would use anti-seize on the bolts when you are putting it back together.

take your time and make sure you follow the specific bolt tightening sequence....look into getting the Haynes manual.

Best of luck!
