98 Windstar - electrical problem
My 98 windstar with 140k troublefree miles, but now have an electrical problem. The radio and overhead counsel (compass and outside temperature) suddenly went out. Checked fuse box and found fuse #12 was burned out. Replaced it and it burned out again. My local mechanic says it may take days to track down the problem. Any ideas on what is wrong and how (or whether) to fix it myself?

I do not know the cause of the problem...but you might look into what all is on that fuse. The overhead console may be a "comfort item".....but there may be something else on that fues that is more important to you. Also, it will help you in tracking down the problem.
