Mopar gear oil for 1995 Dodge Neon is expensive!

$22 per quart!

Just complaining.

Bought new bushings for my stabilizer bar, too. Vroom vroom!

I use REDLINE MTF in my Neon and have for over 60,000 miles, no problems and good cold weater shifting (about $8.00 the quart).

It's $15/qt here, but Redline stuff is a great cheaper alternative.

Re: Mopar gear oil for 1995 Dodge Neon is expensive!

I put the Mopar gear oil in. It really does make a difference. The shifts are smoother and the car seems to drive effortlessly.

Now I'm hearing this weird creaking coming from the front left wheel. It sounds as if the wheel bearing is shot. The boots look fine and the brake pads looked fine when I put the tires on. Looks like I have more work to do!

In response to your front suspension noise, go to neons.org and look at the TSB's for your car (year and engine), there were a lot of issues with suspension noise on first generation Neons.
