Need help moding my NA please!

Hey there, ive had my Na for a few months now, its pretty stock, ima bout to but it a short ram intake, it has an exaust system, and little mods onthe ignition, no biggies. But i was wanting to put serious time and money in it, i do all the work with my dad (he practically builds cars) so labor is not an factor. but hes not as expirenced in the new school, sport compact cars as he is in muscle cars. i was wanting to put a single turbo in my SL, just because i dont wanna follow the crowd of TT's but theres a buncha little things i dont know like what headers should i get, and if any turbo header for a Vr4 will work for my car with only a single turbo. and i already no the i will have to bend my own pipe, but thats the least of my worries. But ima ways off from and turbos, and I wanted to build my car up slowly, dont wanna mess anything up. what should i do to work my way up there?? and one more thing?? how in the hell do u piant the inside of the headlights??? I see them all with carbon fiber, or there just painted black, i cant even take the glass off! thanks.

Re: Need help moding my NA please!

read the FAQ sticky thread. that has a lot of good info to get you started and to orient you on mods for our cars.

read a bunch on different websites, like this one and 3si.org. just use the search feature and you'll find numerous posts about whatever topic you're interested in.

on 3si, here's the N/A upgrade bible: http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=85924

some websites that cater to the 3/S and would give you great ideas of mods for the N/A follow:

www.3sxperformance.com
www.dynamicracing.com
www.importpoweronline.com

just to name a few

3si also has an entire section devoted to forced induction FWD SLs RTs, ESs, and Base models...so check that out, because plenty have done single turbo setups.

Re: Need help moding my NA please!

Do you have a '94? If you do then to get to the "inside" of your lightbulb, you're gonna have to melt the sealant around the whole light. Stick it in the oven and it'll melt and give you access to the inside. This link is for cleaning it but you gotta open it too so:

As far as upgrades go, I'm looking to get a SC from Ripp Mods (way in the future of course). Don't know if you're interested or not but here's the link:
http://www.rippmods.com/products/pro...id=3&vehcId=23

Report back with whatever you do because I'm very interested!

^ yea man I was gonna' say go the s/c way... makes as much power as a stock vr4 (I think they said that it put down like 284WHP)... plus it's easier to install, and your ole' man might be better equiped to install a s/c
