Hm, hows the clutch, old? original? burnt?
How are the shifter cables. Take out hte intake and MAS and have a friend shift through the gears for you, while you look and see what all is going on.

Re: Need Some Help A Shifting Problem

hey man thanks ill do that, well about the clutch the clutch its practically new i had it changed in march or feb. i dont remember but the reason that the clutch is new is because i have my stealth turbo (the baby) and a 240sx (all day car) so i really dont take my stealth out a lot also the clutch work y had it done on the dealer so that really doesnt worries me but as you said ill check it out myself by getting the y pipe and intake off thanks bro, and if the shifting cables are death are they hard to put on back again is that a work i could do myself or a mechanic?

Re: Need Some Help A Shifting Problem

most likely shifter cables. same exact thing happened to me after i re-installed tranny (after LSD install). i was racing a friend, went to shift into 2nd and it just felt like mush or pudding. softest, smoothest shift ever, but i never got to 2nd. i just had to ride in 1st all the way back home.

upon inspecting it, my shifter cables had come loose. there's a bracket that hold the cables/linkage down on top of the tranny. somehow a bolt had come loose, or fell out. perhaps i forgot to re-install the bolt. i don't know, but i just secured it with another bolt, and problem fixed.

hope your situation is this easy to fix.

by the way, your english is actually pretty good. by reading your post, i couldn't tell that english wasn't your first language. what IS your first language, if you don't mind me asking?
