Largecase alt bracket for 5L

Hey guys I'm currently in search of a police package alt bracket so I can put a largecase alt on my 93 civillian 305.

I'd just put a H.O. smallcase on, but I'm planning on getting a 96 LT1 wagon in the future and would like to use the same alt for both cars.

So if you know of a junkyard in your town that has a 9c1 that still has the engine in it with that bracket I'd REALLY appreciate a shoutout... actually I have a friend with a road master that would like one too, so more than one would be even better.

Thanks guys.
Jason

Re: Largecase alt bracket for 5L

Ecology in Phoenix has 3 9C1s as I type this - two are from the late 80s but the alternator brackets should be the same.

If you could find out how much they wanted for them I'd appreciate it greatly.

Re: Largecase alt bracket for 5L

I just realized something. The brackets for the two 80's cars will not work in your case - they're for the multi V-belt layout used through 1988. There's a '91 in there and if the engine hasn't been removed from it yet, you're probably looking at just a few dollars for it ($3-5) but you have to go and pull it.

...

The bracket for the '91 will work on your '93, but will not work on an LT1.
