Red thing under the hood next to the firewall?
What is this thing? It's red. It looks like a transducer. It's wrapped in foam. Is this the keyless entry chirper? If so, I'm not hearing anything and that would be a good place to start.

Sorry.....
It's a 1996 Rodeo. 3.2l I'm pretty sure is IS what chirps when the lights flash for the keyless entry. I hooked a DVM up to the contacts and I get juice when I activate the keyless entry. But the unit doesn't work at all. I've called Isuzu and they're clueless. Guess I'll have to try a junk yard. |

It could be some kind of aftermarket alarm and/or keyless entry.
