B18a vs. ZC

I recently helped a friend put a B18a from a 90 Integra LS into his CRX. The car pulls decent not but not what i was expecting. I know that the ZC is rated around 130 hp and so is the B18a. It seems that the tranny out of the LS seems to be somewhat economy geared. I want to do a swap but since the motors are rated around the same amount of power and the ZC requires no mount kit and i can use my Si tranny. I think that the ZC should be faster than the B18a, because i will have better gearing than him. What do you think that b18a would be faster or the ZC ?

B18a is faster. The power is not the same. Maybe the horsepower but not in torque!! The b18 has 124lbs of torque vs. ZC 108-110 lbs of torque!! Theres alot more aftermarket stuff for the b18 than the ZC also. LS motors are known to be good engines to put turbos on! I'd say go for that b18! The swap is easier than the b16 cause it has less wiring!

i agree with mellow, but i wouldnt be afraid of all those wires you gotta change for a b16a swap...if you gotta si, oh man, its alot of wires...4...but, if you did the b18, later on after youve made some more $$...you can make a frank!!!!

My b18a pulls damn hard an the gearing is fine. 3rd is a beast it's pulling all the way to 95mph then 4th is just icing on the cake. if 5th gear is necessary best belive that's there too. I cant see how anybody that knows honda's wouldn't be impressed by the b18a in a 4 gen not to knock the zc but you get what u pay for.No way a zc could handle a b18a.

Yea the B18 would slaughter the ZC. The ZC has what..like 1595cc and the B18A/B has 1834cc. It's alot bigger of an engine, 1.8L instead of 1.6L and it's just an overall better engine.
