Dome Light Hell

Searched, but did not see any info on this one.
I have a car supplied to me by my workplace. It is a late 90's model Le Sabre. About a month a ago I left for a trip, and reached up and turned on the overhead domelight. All of the interior lights came on, and they will never go off. I finally removed the fuse, so now I have no lights.
One clue is, when you first open the car door all the dome lights come on and go out slowly when you close the door. While there lights were dimming, that is when I pushed the button to tell the dome lights to come on. That must have been a mistake, because now they are always on.
Anyone heard of this, and if so is there a solution. I have tried pulling the fuse, waiting overnight, and reinserting. I have removed the battery cable for a couple of minutes, but nothing seems to help.

Any info is appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

Re: Dome Kight Hell

It sounds like your dome light switch is broken (stuck) in the "on" position.

Thought about that, but unhooked the switch and it still stays on. Also, I hit the switch for one of the overhead lights, but every interior light stays on.
