How many watts are you running? Cuz sometimes even if you have a cap, if your wattage is too high, your lights could still dim a little, just not as much if you didn't have the cap.

Check your battery. Make sure it is reading over 12 volts with the car off. Because I could be dying (ie not able to keep a charge)

I had my 1 Farad Monster Cap for more than 2 1/2 yrs. now and still working. I thought it died already when I put my stuff's together again last week, because it was hooked-up just for my sub amp only, then I didn't here any bass??? Without the cap..., the bass was fine. So, I let it charged for 1 1/2 days with the resistor on. Then, today..., I tried to hook it up again to my sub amp, didn't work at first with the resistor on. So, I freakin' removed the resistor and connected the + wire directly to the capacitor, then, shoot yeah! The capacitor still alive!!! Thank God!
How long would it last? Go to Google and you'll probably find the answer :cyclops: Oh for the light problem you have, yeah lloyd_nickens is probably right. The Caps suppose to help you to avoid the light problem especially when your sub is hitting hard. What kind of sub/subs do you have? I have 3x10's MTX using Kenwood PS300 and even w/o the caps, my lights were fine. I just put the caps because, I wanted more punch and to make sure my battery get's help from the caps for reserved power.
