Angry Need brake help

I see my question asked alot on here. I never got a for sure answer. My Brake Light and ABS light are both on after i stoped hard the other day. It happened a few years back and i just put more brake fluid and the lights went off. Im not so lucky this time. What can i do to avoid going to the shop? The brake fluid is full and brakes are working fine. I have new Front and rear brakes on the truck. It is a 94 Ranger, if anyone knows what i can do, let me know, thanks

Re: Need brake help

disconnect the bulbs on both lights. I would check base brake first to eliminate "red" brake light. there is only couple of sensors or switches that can trigger this. most of the time. brake light switch, parking brake, low fluid level. the abs is mostly sensor related. like wheel speed sensor, abs pump etc. so the brakes work fine ? how about on a panic stop ?I had a problem with brakes "skipping" turned out to be abs pumping from prop.valve locking up.
