EVO III 16g turbo

What does the 16g turbo fully spool at? i know the stock 14b spools fully at 3200 RPMs, but i hear the 16g spools much faster. thanks

oh yea, is it worth getting a 16g for the money?

Re: EVO III 16g turbo

The EVO III 16g should be after the 14b because its a bigger turbo. Cost effectivity is a matter of opinion, but I definately think the evo III 16g is a good turbo.

Re: Re: EVO III 16g turbo

hey i have a 14b turbo on a auto and it hits 20 pounds at about 3300 and i have a 16g on a 5 speed that hits 20 lbs at 5000 and the 16g is that slow because the vaccum is not good try cleaning your head that should help if there is no leaks

Re: EVO III 16g turbo

1 no cracks in manifold
2 no boost leaks
3 i have the stock down pipe and cat but that shouldn't slow the spool that much
4 i sealed the crack in the exhaust housing of the turbo
5 my damn boost controller will only allow me to run over 14 psi. The list just goes on and on. Everything else works though.

Re: Re: EVO III 16g turbo

the max i can run on mine is 22lbs and go to this web site to see the best boost to run on a turbo
http://www.machv.com/tursumchar.html
oh and your turbo. i had a turbo that was cracked on the wastegate. so when the wastegate would close there was still alot of air slipping throw. my boost controler would not work ether and that was because i was running max boost with the leak
