AC Problem

I own a 1998 Bravada. When I go to turn the AC on the air from the vents is extremely hot. Even when I turn the AC off and switch to outside air the air coming from the vents is extremely hot. I have notice that when the car battery is disconnected and reconnected again this problem occurrs. The system does not need to be recharged. Any suggestions on this problem would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like what mine did. It turned out to be the climate control
motor. It is located behind the glove box. On top of the air box.
The glove box door will swing down, just lift the latch. The motor is
held down with two screws and is pluged in to a wiring plug.
If it is the motor NOT CHEAP about 175.00 The motor has plastic gears
inside thats why they break.

glathrop,
Did you have to go to the dealership to get this servo-motor? Also did you have to take out the air box when replacing?

It is a dealer item. And no the airbox does not need to come out.
It sits on top right behind the glove box
