Question.

Plain and simple? Is it worth it to upgrade a 2.2L Ecotech 02 Cavalier LS?
I know it doesn't quite have that 'demanding' power, but should I upgrade it? Or save for another cavy?

It has standard 4 spd automatic transmission and the rest of the factory package.

Willing to invest money in transmission/drive and engine swaps.

Thanks. I'm a newb.

Re: Question.

Guys over on JBO are finding out that the ecotec engine dosn't like dry shots of nitrous. I think like the 3-4th guy just blew his up using a 55 shot.

Or, "like a hobo on a ham sandwich?" LOL

I agree about the ecotec. I haven't dealt with cavs since the old days, when they were considered basic, cheap, bucket model transportation.

I picked up this 03 and I was quite pleasantly surprised. This thing runs, and it loves to rev. Not bad at all, I can see where a few mods would wake this little puppy right up. I bet a header and some better breathing on the front end would definitely give it some bigger balls.
