electric ignition switch replaced... what'll break next?

so i got in my car one morning and much to my dismay, the car would start, but not stay running even a full second. vroooom, then it'd kill. over and over. after borrowing a car for the day and doing what i had to do at school, i came back and narrowed the problem down to something in the steering column. the starter switch, i suspected, because i could keep the car running if i held the key just barely past the number II position on the lock and tumbler. easiest thing in the world to replace, but it was $89.00 aftermarket!! that's crazy expensive! i'll look on the bright side, though. i was able to diagnose and fix the problem myself. i saved a lot more money than the average person could have. also, i can look forward to another 16 years without this part breaking again. 5 years would do though... but will an 89 crx last past 2010??....... we'll see.

good job. the next problem will be that the rust will eat out the metal from underneath the car and you will fall out of a rusted hole underneath the driver seat and onto the highway where an 18 wheeler will give you a happy hello.

you wouldn't believe how well on my way i am towards that. on each seat, a hole where it bolts into the floorboard has already rusted through. the holes on each side are only about an inch around so far... i'll look for some saltwater to drive around in.
