I just shut it off when it started to buzz. Judging by all your posts It sounds as if You found your self a money pit to throw ALL your money into . This is just your first car and everyone had a first car ,do yourself a favour keep it safe brakes ,steering etc etc but don`t waste alot of money on other things ,door seals and things like that . The car is old and you will never get your money back out of it when you go to sell. I had a `91 also and it was a good one but you have to where to draw the line as far as repairs go. just my two cents. Good Luck with your Car __________________ Life Is A Highway ,Enjoy The Ride muff34 View Public Profile Send a private message to muff34 Find More Posts by muff34 Add muff34 to Your Buddy List 01-30-2006, 04:21 PM #5 |WYG|SS AF Regular Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 50 Re: rear defrost switch buzzing -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- well i bought the car for 400 because the quy was a mechanic and it saaat their for a while and the car had a SH!T load of cigeratte ashes in it and smelt bad so i cleaned it and it runns goood with 130k. i think it would be good to get the expensive switch becasue then i dont have to wory about pushing the wiper button on every time i need to see in the rain. the delay on the switch would be better casue then if i want delay i dont need to cut wires and put a delay switch in. it would save a lot of time and money cause if i screw up then i need new wires. |

Re: rear defroster switch buzzing
i can guarantee you, with the symptoms youve listed, that it IS your switch, personally if i had a 15 yr old car there is no way in hell i would put $176 just for a fucking rear defroster, i wouldnt even put that much into my 98 for just the rear defroster, if it really means that much to you though i would try every junkyard around before spending that much
