300zx fule filter swap

I was told by a friend that the 300zx fuel filter will fit easily as a replcment and that its better than the maxima's OEM filter. Is this true? can you do this and/or is this considered a upgrade?

It's not really a 'performance' mod. It fits just fine, the only real benefit I can see is that it is slightly larger= should last a little longer than the stock maxima filter. The only thing you have to do is bend the bracket that holds the filter a bit to make the 300zx filter fit.
