Here'z the deal..
I've got 16k to spend.. I need a fast car :P By fast, I'd prefer more acceleration over top end speed, but any suggestions would be great :] I really want a Supra, but it's a bit out of my price range :/ I've been looking at lots of cars, but I need some help.. suggestions!? :] Thankz!!! ;D

Screw a civic and all that played out rice crap. Get a 240z or 280z for about 3k. Buy a GM 350 crate motor and a blower, new rear end, swap it in. Then you have the rest of the cash for body/ interior work. And the best part is, instead of having a 16 sec. 1/4 mile in a civic, you'll be in the high 11's and twelves with a fast ass sleeper.
Dont buy a new car my friend, especially a ricer. trust me. |

Hello? where are my 3000gt people? listen bud you can easily find a well working 3000gtvr4 for under 16 tho. depending on what year you get and miles, you should have some left over.even if you dont theve got 320 hp stock AWD, AWS, 0-60 4.8 stock.the works if you wanna look it all up , plus they look awsome. check it out you should like it.:bandit:

I would look at the Porsche 944 Turbo S
At around $10,000-13,500(usd) they are really cheap considering the performance and the name behind it. 240hp 0-60 5.5 seconds top speed - 162 Perfect 50/50 weight distribution Great handling. And fairly reliable cars considering how hard your probably going to drive it. Plus after market parts arent expensive and their is alot. For example you can get a new turbo for it thats putting out 320hp for just a couple thousand. good luck in your search. :bandit: |

V8 sad what are you talking about why would you want a heavier car with 200 hp over a light car with about 300 or so hp. The V8 would also cost about half as much given that you can get a 240z for under $2k and is a much simpler swap. The z is also faster stock than the sx, well the 240 anyway.

I agree with nismo66, a z with a v8 swap is a hard thing to beat dollar for dollar... plus its just so easy to get major hp outta those old v8s
I would say any of these: 240z w/v8 swap 240sx w/sr20det swap 300zx tt Those are what I would be deciding between if I had 16k lyin around -Grendel |

You don't even have to use an LS1 or LT1 any V8 in a Z would smoke any ricer out there anyday.
