99 saturnSL1 cranks but won’t turnover randomly.

My 99saturn SL1 has been randomly not been able to start. Lights come on dash but no dinging sound. When I dont hear tha door dings I know I’m fuct and it’s not going to start. That being said tha last 3 times it wouldn’t start I had to stay in my car and wait it out. After awhile it just starts to ding again and starts just fine. What’s going on?

Sounds like it might be a primary power issue, like the battery terminal feeding the UEC, a fusible link/connection failing, or something similar.

Re: 99 saturnSL1 cranks but won’t turnover randomly.

Thank you for your advice 🙏🏻😊 I’ve checked the fuses, spark plugs, fluids, battery, and thinking it may have to do with the ignition cylinder/switch or fuel pump line clogged.. it takes quite a bit of jiggling of the key to get it to turn. But also the energy out put on fuel line was weak even with half tank of gas. Opinion?
