Re: which?

Which Camaro and Which supra? A 1986 six cylinder camaro probably wouldn't keep up to a cavalier. But a LT1 powered 4th gen would give most supras a good run...

I'd say a Camaro is faster than a supra, but ofcourse it all depends on what mods have been done to the car.

A 93-02 Camaro can be compared to a 93-02 Firebird

On a serious note, the 93-02 Camaros are as fast, if not faster than new the new Mustangs.

Re: which?

I'd like to see what the supra forum is saying about us.. brb

*added V8 Supra thread(2003)

occasionally you get the country rivalry like "American V8's suck" but on the whole the AF members are open minded and share some good information. Don't mean to hijack the thread but it was inevitable anyway. If you want to know what's faster, they're right, it varies from car to car. seeing you already have a 95 camaro, are you asking about a race?

If they're realistic.. they know they'll be beat by a newer Z28 or TransAm.. that is unless they feel like getting out the special makes of Supra's which im sure there's alot of them that has a higher HP rating than 320..

There's a lot more to a race than HP... And there are so many factors that could change which car has the upper hand, mods, driver, launch, tons of things that make a difference. These types of topics are always so pointless, "which car is better?" there is no clear answer. Everybody likes different cars so some are better to other people, I happen to like American sports cars but I sure would like to have a Porsche someday, somedays I even enjoy driving my '90 Corolla because I don't have to worry about someone stealing or damaging it...

Re: which?

It really depends on what year supra and camaro you are comparing. The 93-98 Twin Turbo Supras are no joke. In stock trim the fair pretty got damn good, which is why the car is so overrated. They responds to mods so freakin well, it's rediculous. Supra TT's stock would beat a stock LT1 powered 4th gen, not sure about LS1 powereed 4th gen. But then again, in the streets, numbers mean nothing. Anything can happen. A corolla can beat a ferrari... LOL!!!

Re: which?

LS1 car > TT Supra
LT1 car = TT Supra
At least stock for stock.

The big thing about the Supra's is what they can take for power on the stock bottom end. They can make close to 1000 HP on the stock bottom end. At least the newer ones....The ones with the 2JZ.
The N/A Supra's aren't dogs either, but are slower with no boost.
