HI, I just joined this messageboard, because I just bought my first Civic. I got an 89 SI for $650, it has 190k on it, and runs and looks pretty good. I has a few strange noises, but I don't care. Like a slaping/ratteling sound comming from the timing belt cover. ( However if anyone has any ideas about that one, I'd like to know. I'm about to change the timing belt, and I'm sure I'll find something interesting when I do. ) I bought this car to keep miles off my 96 Mystic Cobra, and also to do an engine swap into it. I wish to be fast and furious! I have read about the swaps for about a year now. My question is, just exactly how hard is a swap? I have seen all the articles, but they stop after they get the engine in the bay and start the car. What kind of crap can I expect to run into after its in? What are common problems after the deal is done, anyone?
