4 lug hubs to a 5 lug pattern
I have an 89 hatch-back that I'm building up. Has anyone converted the stock hubs to a 5 lug pattern?

Re: 4 lug hubs to a 5 lug pattern
i think it's only type-Rs that use 5-stud, so i guess if you can get your hands on those parts it wouldn't be too hard, if you've got the know-how to do it.
i know someone who did this on an old BMW E30 316. it involved gettin all drivetrain parts from an E30 M3. so it's gonna cost you a lot of money, unless you can get a whole bunch of scrapped bits.

Re: 4 lug hubs to a 5 lug pattern
Thanks for the fast reply, but I already have it figured out.
I'm keeping the stock spindles and 90% of the front suspension. I'm adapting the hubs to a Camaro 5 on 4 3/4" pattern. I cut the end off of a Chevy axle and machined the shaft down to fit the inside of the Civic wheel bearing. All I need to do is thread the end of the shaft to keep it screwed together. Since it will be rear drive, the front hubs are just stub shafts and the pattern will match the 12-bolt in the rear. I had spare axles in storage, so parts were free. Thanks for the advice. Cool sig man. |
