Red face tranny problem i think-1991 cutlass supreme

1991 cutlass supreme internat'l, v-6 ,3.1. just bought the car from little old lady, maintained well, great shape. tranny was slipping, shifting hard. Checked fluid, level low, but very clean. Topped off with Lucas additive.
Still slipping, starting to idle rough (lope), shimmies when put into drive or reverse. I'm thinking Oxygen sensor. What else, any clues. Mechanical trans.
problem or electronic? Acts like it wants to stall when put into gear. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Re: tranny problem i think

Welcome to AF !

I'd change the transmision fluid & filter, that migth clear up the slipping.

The rough idle could be several things.
The spark plugs and wires could be bad and not getting a good burn.
Vacum lines could be leaking somewhere also causing the rough idle.

Also try cleaning the TB with come TB cleaner.
