Just want to vent some frustration

I hate honda! I hate Acura! I hate volkswagen!

Sorry y'all but I'm tired of people judging my ride without even knowing what its all about.

Everyone here is stereotypically modifying Hondas, acuras and VW's and wehen I fly by with my G they think i'm trying to be a wanna be....(even tho' I smoked 2 stock integras at berthierville raceway on saturday)

Had to write this somewhere to et it off my chest. Gotta find a way to get more people into Infiniti/Nissan around here

Glad you feel better now....but you may have just started another war between car makes.

It is disappointing that people cant see out side the box they live in and drive...... and start to take each others car for what it is and not by what make it is.
I couldnt give a hoot what others think......most times its because you have something better than them.

Dont let it get to ya dude ...but i know how it can piss you off though

yeh, you should be very careful what you post, because I particularly like Honda's and Acura's myself although, I have a dressed up P11 which I like to cruise around in to work. I was open to Nissans, but with the kinda quality I'm getting from my P11, it's the last Nissan for me. Atleast I am talking from actual experience, right? I think I am very fair.

if you were absolutely sure about yourself, you would not have to write stuff like that...so there must be something on the G that's keeping you under. modify that and you're on your way to ignoring and dusting the next honda you see.

Ahh dude it ain't like that.

I used to own one of the most tricked out integras in Montreal til I crashed it. I have only ever owned hondas til I bought my G. I admit it was disrespectful to say I hated those makes and I apologize for that.

Bottom line of what frustrates me is the closed mindedness of the import scene around here (Montreal) not about what I can beat or not (which has not been a problem and has impressed me with the G)

Sorry if I came across all wrong

well no offense to Nissan, but they are a bitch when it comes to fixing them up. Honda/Acura is so much easier compared to Nissan.

Yes that is true, aftermarket for Honda/Acura is bigger, but guys, we are in a Primera/G20, we are on a different level.
We are different to the hundres of Acuras and hondas that seems to multiply on the streets.

I dislike Hondas also, and ignorance isn't behind that statement. My dad has a Civic EX, a lot of friends with Si's and Integras, and the wife with an Accord. The SR20 is 100% easier to work on. Maintenance on any Honda is not as care free as the SR20. I won't even start on the torque thing, and CLAIMS of hp. I'm sorry, but Honda has the worst flywheel to ground ratio in the business. Having NEVER lost to a Si (thus far) and a handful of Integras tells me something about my heavier G. Of course, the only reason why Honda has more aftermarket support is because the majority of people think that Hondas are a good aftermarket platform, which I think is a travisty. But you know, you have to jump on the bandwagon to get the money from the consumers. People also think that Honda's are more reliable than Nissan's, which in my experience is not true. Being on my third G, soon to be forth, and gauging the condition of my aunt KA24, I think I'm allowed to make this statement. PLEASE don't get me wrong, Honda does make very good stock platforms, millions of happy consumers tell the story. Hell, I'd even take a ITR if GIVEN to me, I wouldn't buy one though. In my OPINION, people are too blinded by Honda's reputation and don't consider the options. For some reason this reminds me of the Matrix. Call me Morphius cause I've awaken a handful of people already, and my mission is forever ongoing. Just my thoughts, nothing to get mad about.

actually...Nissans are modified a lot more than hondas/acuras overseas espeically in Japan. Who said the nissan market is small??? it's only smaller here but if you look hard enough, there's plenty of followings.
Scenes in Japan are TOTALLY different than here, all you see are nissans and toyotas, flip open an Options magazine and silvias are ALL you'll see...basically.
In the car industry, nissan produces above average quality...it all depends on what you are looking for in a car, sometime hondas are better, sometimes fords and of course each specific car is different, although in general, Hondas are viewed as "good" quality, i bet i can find you a person that owns hondas and absolutely hates them...so, Ken, even though you are having a very MINOR problem with your car (actually, not an actualy problem cuz the car is drives perfectly), it doesnt, by any sort of means, that nissan is poor quality.
Before my G, i owned a EG civic so i am also entitled to say that although Hondas are well supported, it's MOST appealing attractions to tuners around the world is that Hondas are cheaper thus more people will buy it and fix it up...it doesnt mean they are a better performer.

I aint going to get involved in this, well not to deep.
As a Honda owner I dont actualy feel a need to stick up for Honda, I know they make great cars, in fact awsome cars, but as a previous Nissan owner, and having choosen the Honda over a SSS Sentra, I also know what great cars Nissan make. Iv also spent a lot of time and money making an old '73 Triumph get up and boogy with the best of them and getting no respect from people in return.

Iv made a speal around these parts before about favouring one manufactor over another and holding all the cars it makes as being superior to being close to Racism, and I still hold that view.
Diffrent cars have diffrent good and bad points, you cant say out-right that one is better than the other.

oh the reason I wanted the SSS Sentra?
2.0l DOHC!!!!
5dr for more room.
Can we say FLAT torque curve.
Suspension tuned for NZ roads.
Nissans proven track record for building good strong reliable motors.

The reason I bought the Civic?
Nice High Reving 1600 DOHC
Can we say huge Power at 7,800rpm!
Very econmical.
came with new Tyres, and in a common size, the Sentra had some funny sized NZ market wheels, that needed expensive tyres.
And the absolute deciding factor? The dealer selling the Sentra had it way over priced, and Hung up on me when I suggested a more suitable price, the Dealer selling the Honda just handed me a sales agreement.

What I found out? The honda also has a nice strong reliable engine, and the suspension is actualy well suited to NZ roads, despite being an import, and the back seats have more leg and head room than many larger 4dr cars, including a friends Primera.

Moral: You cant make true Judgments on how a car preforms and what its good and bad points are untill you've spent a lot of time with one, and what maybe a bad point for you, could be a good point for someone else, unless your talking about a Trabant its all subjective. (ppl that like trabants simply need medication.)

Damn I think I just got involved. Never mind.
