1989 5.0 manual transmission problem
i put my trans on we had so much trouble with it. then we finally did it. now my car won't move at all forward or reverse.

More info... Make/model trans new clutch and trans? or just new trans?

so it just revs when you try to go forward or backwards? Is there a gap at all where the trans bolts back up to the engine block?

I hate to say it but it has been done by some people on here. Just was a suggestion. Mine when i got it was not bolted all the way and it still ran with no noise. Would have never noticed. But then decided to put a new clutch and fork and all that you know. Quadrant, cable, fork, firewall adjuster you know to replace the cheap stock stuff before i got real problems. |
