SOS - Need firing order ASAP!!
I am working on a 1974 Grand Prix that some guys screwed up. I need to make sure I have the right firing order, but don't know where the #'s are on the distributor cap.
Someone PLEASE help by telling me either the correct order, or a website that would have that info - I have been looking for an hour!! Thank you VERY much!!

Re: SOS - Need firing order ASAP!!
firing order on all GM v-8's is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Cylinders are 1-3-5-7 drivers side, and 2-4-6-8 passenger side.

Re: SOS - Need firing order ASAP!!
if by chance any of the pistons were referenced as being closest to tdc then you can pull the cap off the distributor and see what is and isnt making contact. that'll show you which one is closest to firing. then follow the order around. turn the engine over to find the rotation of the distributor for direction. hard to remember those details anymore.
