ALignment

Help!
I need new tires, and I have a bad alignment and I was told the bushings all around are shot. I think they are the strut bushings or at least the ones where the shock is connected to the lower arms. Can I have an alignment done? Or will the bad bushings hinder this. I don't know what it would do on a Honda.

Thanks.

Re: ALignment

If all the bushings are bad then no you cannot get a proper alignment.

Re: ALignment

Your name is sitnlow. Are you lowered? If so, it could throw your alignment off. If you have adjustable coilovers you have to be meticulous about getting it set perfect and even then (as others will state) it won't be right. If you want to be low and you want to have a perfect alignment... get new bushings pressed in, adjustable camber kit in front and do "washer trick" in rear and use a true coilover set up or koni yellows with a lowering springs.

Personally, I have about a 1.5" in drop on shitty struts, some 3 year old coilovers but at 80mph I don't pull either direction and my tire wear isn't that bad. I do have a squeak in the rear driver side but that has a lot to do with my shitty struts, rusted frame and lots of abuse... GL

just depends how bad the bushings are. all my bushings look very poor right now and i can still get a good alignment. it would probably work better with new bushings.

i've heard it can be a pain to change the bushings, so i'm putting that off until absolutely necessary, or until i have a second car and can work on my crx full time.
