Clutch Problems 91 5 speed

I would like to find a repair manual for this transmission and clutch. Driving along and clutch went out. Add fluid and it pour out of belhousing when peddle is pushed. Any help would be great.

your clutch slave cylinder is blown out , you need a new one , and i would suggest getting a new master at the same time , cuz when one goes out , usually the other isnt far behind , unfortunatly tho, when you replace it , there is no bleeder valve on the slvae cylinder , and from what i hear , about the only thing you can do is let it gravity bleed for a long time , making sure to keep the master full (gravity bleeding being , put it all in and together , and crack the line loose on the slave and let the fluid fill everything up with gravity) and once your done doing that if you still have air in it , i hear you can just pump the pedla numerous times and eventually the air will come out , but ive never actually done that one , anyone else have?

You might be able to fill the slave up using a simple brake bleeding hand pump, then install the hose.
It's easy to either gravity the line, or even run it into a bottle of fluid and pump it slowly a few times.

Re: Clutch Problems 91 5 speed

I have a 1987 s-10 4 wheel drive automatic trans 2.8 engine. How much alteration is involved to put a 2.8 from a 1991 s-10 two wheel drive with 5 speed standard shift?

Re: Clutch Problems 91 5 speed

its just about the same as bleeding your brakes it takes a bit longer but it works I just replaced the slave cylinder on mine, make sure you cut the plastic clip even though they say it breaks on its own it doesn't.
