swap question
I've got a great deal on a sohc d15b vtec for my crx. I only have the longblock oil pan to valve cover without the intake manifold. Can I still run my intake manifold and distributor and simply convert to vtec when i have the $ for the stuff? Also if i do run this setup will i get any error codes?
so in short... can i just use the block without using vtec? |

Re: swap question
Yeah you can run all of you OBD-0 stuff, the dizzy will need some modification to bolt on. You can also run with out vtec, or you can do the Vtec controller or MSD Rpm Switch way.
I personally went the p28 chipped with uberdata way, the Vtec works a lot nicer with OBD-1

Re: swap question
I haven't been in Pittsbugh for like 3 years now hehe, been to miami, then Boston, and now back in Miami.
But Honestly if you have a driveway or a friend who has one a d-series swap is nothing as long as you have the tools, and lifts aren't that expensive to rent. But if you really need some one to do it, I know someone who is into 4g's in town there, I'm sure he'll know where to go.
