Heater Core Replacing On 97 Cv

HI
I have read past post on this and saw the link with pictures. BIG PROBLEM NONE OF THIS HELPS. HERE IS WHY:
TILT STEERING WHEEL, A/C DRIER IS LOCATED IN A DIFFERENT POSITION AND THE TOP FRONT OF DASH NEXT TO WIND SCREEN IS ONE PIECE. Looks like it can be pried off.

The heater core that I just bought looks different, the input and out put tubes are longer and have a slight bend to them. Is this the correct core for the CV? NOW AFTER LOOKING AT, I DO BELIEVE IT IS THE WRONG HEATER CORE. IF IT IS CORRECT IT WILL HAVE TO MOUNT AT AN ANGLE IN ITS COMPARTMENT
I have not started the tear down yet.
Was just interested if some one has done this recently.
If so any suggestions that may be different from the Mustang, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I havn't done one in about 10 years (BIG PIA) but it should be the same. First I suggest you take out the old one for comparison. You have to basically take apart the whole dashboard, since the core has to removed from the inside of the car. I don't know what instuctions you have or got, but I am not sure if the ones for a Mustang are close or not. Best best pick up a Chiltons or get the specific directions for that car.
