I have never drained my differential, can you help me out with the location and fluid type? Does the fluid drain out when you replace transaxle/ CV joints? I haven't done that yet... |

It's on the bottom of the unit, approximately next to the transmission drain. Uses ATF, same as the transmission. No, it doesn't drain when you pull the half-shafts.
