Exclamation Egr Question, Need Help Asap

OK, it is my beleif that my EGR valve is clogged/and or the sensor is dead

I think this because there are little plooms of exhaust gas flying out my add oil spout and dipstick when the car is running. This excess pressure in my engine is causing the seals to go, thus pissing oil out all over. My valve cover gaskets are leaking, my air intake manifold gasket is leaking, and god know what else. Car is eating a quart every 5 days. I replaced the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve with no response, so my only other logical option is a dead EGR.

My Questions

1. Do you think it's the EGR?

2. Is a series 2 EGR compatible with a series one, I may be able to snag one off a 98 regal for cheap, but i'm not sure if it will work.

I need an EGR for a 94 lesabre series one, so this really limits my options. My year they changed the EGR from the flying saucer one to the one that looks like a soda can, like most of the EGRs in the 3.8's form 94 all the way to now. But, will a EGR off a series 2 work on a series one? Are these parts completely interchangeable.

PLEASE HELP

Re: Egr Question, Need Help Asap

The EGR has nothing to do with excess pressure in the crankcase! The exhaust gas recirculation valve, (EGR) circulates exhaust gases through the throttle body into the intake and then into the combustion chamber. If you have excess pressure in the crankcase, you have (blow-by), from the rings to the crankcase.
