91 crx SI
hey i was looking on the web and do all 91 SI REx's have the seatbelt on the door. If they do thats gay. i don't like it. well i'm in germany right now thats why i ask. german crx's don't have it like that. so i'm seeing if i should pickup some german interior before i leave.

Re: 91 crx SI
My 89 SI has the seatbelts on the door. it sucks when you open the door and forget to take off your seatbelt because it chokes you

Re: 91 crx SI
looks like i better pick up some german interior then because german CRX's mount like every other car and i don't want to keep the gay door panel with the seatbelts on it

Re: 91 crx SI
i thought about shipping a german crx but i'm not sure what it would cost to convert it to US spec. shipping would be free for me since the army would pay to ship my car home but not sure on the price customs would charge me to convert it. could be pretty steep or could be cheap wish i could find out before i shipped one on what it would cost to bring a german one back home with me.

Re: 91 crx SI
O i don't suppose anyone has any connections on what would have to be done to it. i would imagine it would be just like importing one from japan since i think they are the same but the german ones a zc and the steering wheels on the left side of the car

Re: 91 crx SI
US ones started having the seatbelts on the door in mid 89. 88 and early 89's do not have them on the door. There shouldnt be anything you have to convert to make it legal, just have to file paperwork and pass inspection in the state that you plan on taking it to.

Re: 91 crx SI
ok i just did a lil research and from what i found i need a letter from honda stateing the differances in the german spec one and the us spec one and then there's like a 2.5% fee from what the car's worth. i just wish i knew if this would cost me a fortune to import it or if it's just cheeper to buy one in the states.

Re: 91 crx SI
I have a '91 hatch and my seatbelts are on the door also. On the post where other seatbelts for other cars would normally go there is a part that comes out about 1/4 of an inch...it looks like you might be able to put a seatbelt there. I've never took off the panels to see if there is an actual place to put a seatbelt but its just something I've noticed on my car. I'm not sure if the CRX has the same thing or not.

Re: 91 crx SI
I believe the mounting points are still on the pillars. ZC's are shit.
