Really Cheap Supras for Sale WHY?

I have been looking in the market for some supras and I have come upon quite a few that are being sold for insanely low prices. Prices ranging from $4000 to $9000. I recently have been conversing with a seller and am about to buy a 1997 Twin Turbo Supra with 79k miles on it for $8900. Why are people selling these cars so cheap. I priced the car on Edmunds.com at $25k . Is there a scam going on that i do not know about. Here is the cars VIN JT2DE82A9V0040164

I currently have a 1998 Nissan 230sx SE and am looking to sell it as I will be recieving this supra soon. Please, someone clue me in if this is a bad idea. Thanx

If you found it on the internet then it is probably a scam. I would ask to see the car and title in person before discusing any kind of sale.

Re: Really Cheap Supras for Sale WHY?

Get a CarFax information output on the VIN. Maybe it was in a flood or was totaled and welded back together with odds and ends. When it's too good to be true, it isn't.

carfax

I did the carfax and the car comes out clean. The emails he is sending me are exactly like the SquareTrade scams that have been going on and that I have been reading about. Damn..I even got approved for a loan. BLEH!

Re: Really Cheap Supras for Sale WHY?

I hope not many people are ----- enough to fall for these deals. It seems so obvious.

Thanks for the information

a 97 turbo 6 speed, with 79k miles, even in stock form, and in good condition will run you well over 25k.

No matter the cost, you need to be very carefull. You need to see and drive the car before you hand over a single penny. You need to see the title, and ask where the car was worked on, who did the work. Then call those shops and verifiy the cars history.
