2001 nissan altima
I have a 2001 nissan altima gxe. When i stop at a light, etc my car spits and sputters and jumps. I have changed my plugs n wires and fuel filter. I took it to a mechanic and he said that my oxygen sensor was bad. I took it to another mechanic and he said that it was a random/multiple cylinder misfire. Which of these sounds like the problem??

Re: 2001 nissan altima
honestly, it could be either. check your coils by taking the pulg wire off of them, one at a time and replace before moving to the next one, while the car is running. they should be sparking in a pattern, if one is erratic, that coil is your problem. you could probably replace you o2 sensor yourself, for not a whole lot of $, even if it isnt the problem, they need to be replaced every 100k or so
