I don't have a yellow Xterra, but some of you may so I am relaying this information to you.
FreeCar.com is that company that gives out free cars (Explorers, New Beetles, and others) provided that you drive it around on a regular basis with vinyl advertisments wrapped all over the vehicle. If you already own a car, they will pay you a few hundred dollars a month to let them wrap your existing car with the ad vinyl. A lot of you may have heard of this company (heck, I even saw it on the news a few months ago) and those who even bothered signing up probably discovered that it is TOUGH getting chosen to partake in their service. I recently received an email from FreeCar requesting owners of yellow Nissan Xterras to contact them for duty. I have no idea why they need this particular make, model, and color. If you want to give it a shot, visit FreeCar. Below is the email I received for the yellow Xterras (I don't care about the 'friend referral'): ---- Dear FreeCar Registrants: We have a new and exciting campaign starting in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami in a couple of weeks. We are in need of a specific vehicle. FreeCar is looking for YELLOW Nissan Xterras. If you have one sitting in your drive-way collecting dust, get ready to pull it out. We need you. Or you can always refer a friend to our website: http://www.FreeCar.com Thank you, Samantha FreeCar Media www.FreeCar.com |

Yellow is a definate advertiser's color of choice. The usage of an Xterra is pretty interesting; perhaps they will utilize the sharp neo-design for a great visual design presentation. I have contacted FreeCar for further information about the Xterras.
Below are examples of other SUVs wrapped with FreeCar's advertisers: |

A covered Land Rover Discovery (these have a similar shape with the Xterra so perhaps this is what they would look like):

They target cars that young people would like (new beetle). I guess the Xterra audience is one they'd like to reach.

Don't forget they stick a GPS in your car and monitor every move.
I wonder how long until FreeCar goes chapter 11 ? |

AND...
Not only do they monitor your every move, they "ask" you to attend special events that their client would like you to be seen at. They use the GPS to "check-up" on you and see if you attended the event. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be someone's R/C car.
