I have taken my 2005 GTI 1.8T to the dealership twice already, with no luck. When reaching between 2800 and 3k RPMs, the turbo seems to kick in and then lag...The dealer replaced the turbo sensor today, but did not fix the problem...Has anyone encounter this problem?? Thanks!

Re: 2005 GTI Turbo Lag
Does the '05 GTi have the stock turbo timer or do i need to install one?

doesnt sound like turbo lag, sounds like your car is going into limp mode.
Do you have any mods? Sometimes the MAF sensor freaks out and cuts the boost (limp mode). |
