97 le sabre cuts out when accelerating

Hello. My 97 le sabre hesitates when accelerating. I changed the fuel filter and that didn't help. The dealer tested it for misfirings and didn't find any. I have heard it could be something in the fuel system or even a plugged catalytic converter. Any ideas?

P.s. my milage is still good and I dont have any sulfur-like smells.

How many miles? Have you had work done recently? How old are your plugs/wires?

The car has 150,000 miles. I bought it a few months ago so I dont know about the plugs and wires. They look good but that's all I can say. I hanen't had any work done recently but I did have the transmission slip a few times when it was really hot and I was travelling pretty fast.
