egr system-86 k10
I was flipping through my repair manual for my 86 when I saw the section about the egr valve. It told how to test the valve by pressing up on the diaphram to see if there is a drop in rpm. Well mine died and won't start. It will start if you hold the pedal down but it smokes alot. There is supposed to be a vacuum line on the egr valve but I can't remember if it was ever there. I have already ordered a new edelbrock carb for it, should I just get an intake manifold for non egr most of the emmission control crap is already gone or not working anyway. Any input is appreciated.
Andy

as long as passing emissions is not a problem in your area, I would go for the non-egr manifold.
