Question

I've looked for the paint code on the door jamb but to no avail. Shouldn't it be a WA#. How do I get the code if not one there. Mine is a 98 2dr 4wd and is a forest green color. Anyone have any suggestions??

I also have a '98 Blazer 2DR, 4WD, which is also green. Open up the glove box and find the SPI sticker sheet stuck on the inside. I have a "43U" for a color option, which GM calls "Emerald Green", according to the 1998 GM Blazer shop manual.

That may not be exactly what you're looking for, as a "color code", but that does tell you the GM color name. If you don't have "43U" on the bottom of the list, post the number codes and I'll give you the color definition.

The code that I found is 92H. The code was in lower right corner of sticker; Is this right?

Re: Paint Codes

92H refers to the cloth seat color, which is Medium Dark Pewter.

You do not have a 43U? Do you have a 87U? I have 92H listed in the lower RH corner as well, as well as on the last line which is apart of the main codes. Look, and post, your numbered codes that you find near the bottom list of the main section of codes.

Re: Paint Codes

Post your numbered codes near the bottom half of the main section of codes, from the SPI sticker located inside your glove box. Most color codes for the '98 Blazer appear to start with a number. If you post it, I can give you the GM color name.

Re: Paint Codes

Yes the paint code will be a number followed by a letter.

The number indicates the color
The letter indicates what the color applies to.....
"U" (upper) is the primary color.
"L" (lower) is the secondary color (two tone)
"A" (accent) would be the color of the stripe....etc

Re: Paint Codes

Who was the guy that posted the pics of his Blazer that was red with the silver on the bottom? The two tone paint one? It looks real sharp and clean? That is my exact Blazer! Let me know if you know what I am talking about. Thanks

Ok, I do have a 43U in the last row of codes. I would guess that should be the one, do you know the color name for that code and does this translate in anyway to a WA # for the gm paint codes?
