3.8L vin K coolant drains

Hi All,

Anyone know if there should be a gasket, foam plug, or anything else to keep coolant from streaming out once the knock sensors ( drain plugs ) are removed ? Or is it simply accumulated debris blocking the holes that need to be punched or picked out, with say an awl ?

Thanks

Rick

As Far As I Know The Knock Sensors Are The Block Drains. If You Have No Flow Than You Have Plugged Drain Holes. Poke Them Clean. If You Have That Sort Of Crud You May Want To Flush The Block, Heater Core, Radiator. Mind Your Flush Pressure. Do Not Exceed The Rated Pressure Of The System 16 Psi. I Hope This Is Of Some Value To You.

Ps Make Sure You Have The Top Of The Engine Vented. If Not This May Also Inhibit The Flow Of Coolant.
