engine cover 2003 cavalier

Any paint or cleaner out there to polish/ OR safely paint, the aluminum engine cover??. I detailed the engine compartment but that alum cover looks terrible. not to mention the discoloration of the alum tubes.

THANKS

Take some steel wool and some water to it. Then a nice cleaning and some detailing and it will be all nice and shiny. Bwst way to do it is to take it off but you can do it all the same still on. Its just a bitch and a half to do it on the car though.
