cleaning headlights

Hi everyone. I have a 95 Eagle Talon and I was wondering if there was ANY possible way to clean the interior of the headlights. It is driving me insane and I don't have the money to replace them right now!! Thanks...Erin.

Thank you for replying!! (Can't spell) I know how to get the headlight out, but I do not know how to take it apart or even if it is possible to take it apart. Is it hard to do on your car?

Erin

Re: cleaning headlights

Are they foggy/dirty looking? That stuff might be on the outside then. Check this out: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...light+cleaning

Re: cleaning headlights

ya try reading the FAQ. it's the thing in the bottom of my sig that says FAQ.

check my write-up for how to remove the amber. this is how you get them open. i think that acetone was the general good feeling for a cleaner.

or mabey it was something like 'never use acetone'

Re: cleaning headlights

Plastic pollish works great on unfogging headlights. One of mine was foggy, used that bad-boy and cleaned it right up. Looks great.

As for the plastic polish... it's called NOVUS... start with a NOVUS 2 for polishing and finish with NOVUS 1. The #1 is great for general cleaning and acts like a rainX on glass.

I work at an Advance Auto Parts and we sell a kick ass product by Meguiars, its called PlastX. Its like around 5 bucks a bottle, it takes off the haze on the outside of the headlight, the stuff that looks like its on the inside.
