My neon Spudders

WHats up I have a 96 sohc 5spd neon. My problem is when i pull away from a stop the car spudders for acouple seconds then is fine or when its pulling hard in any gear it will spudder. I have no clue what it is and its pissing me off. i put regular gas in because gas is so frigen expensive now. But would anyone know what the problem is. Is it the coil? plugs were changed and i still ave the problem? could it be fuel filter? I have a ractive hot air intake could it be the filter? Any help is appreciated thanks alot for your time.

Is your check engine light on? When you changed the plugs, what kind of plugs did you use? My first guesses are plugs, wires, then the coil pack. It could be a fuel related problem, but try the others first.

Re: My neon Spudders

Hey.,.,My check engine light is not on. And the same thing you thought of with the plugs wires and coil pack is what i thought of altough i did change the plugs and it had the same problem the wires are fairy new and the coil pack i original so imthinking its the coil pack. I did take the intake pipe off today and check from wires grounding and i did find the loose coil wire that clips to the harness and i taped it up nice and tight but i still had the problem..buT anyway i hoipe it isnt a fuel problem. i think im going to buy the MSD coil pack with the 8.5 plug wires and new plugs and hopefully it will solve the problem. HOPEFULLY! and other ideas or comments are appreciated. Thankss!!

Re: My neon Spudders

Make sure you are buying the champion plugs and not any type of platinum plugs. They are of no benefit on the neon and a waste of money.
