Chev Malibu Classic steering groan

Hey all have an issue w/ my 04 Classic.

At very slow speeds my car emits a groaning noise when turning hard left and also veers to the left at highway speeds.

Tire pressure is ok. Didn't notice play in the ball joint or tie rod end when I checked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

May be low on fluid, or have air in the system? These won't cause a pull one way or the other. Try swapping the tires side to side and have the alignment checked.

At one time there was a issue with rack bearing going bad.

You sure it's not a bad wheel bearing. They will groan when you turn the steering wheel. Try turning the steering wheel when sitting still and in neutral and the engine RPMs are up. Does it groan then?
