Can't go wrong with a Subaru, I'd suggest a 2.5RS, you should have a few grand left over to add some performance goodies too.

i havn't been able to get ahold of him yet for exact specs etc..

rally sport = 2.5rs with a bunch of stickerS?

edit: rallycross for now, getting into real rally would be to expensive for me unless i got some big sponsors before i wrecked

Just wait a few months until the price of the WRX drops. I'm sure you could find one for $13k that has 75-100k on it.

If you're seriously thinking about competing and want do well, don't start off with a subaru, or any other higher powered car. Start off small and learn to drive fast then move up. I've been involved with rallying literally all my life and the biggest mistake i see is people starting in rallying with WRX or even RS and find themselves holding on for dear life the whole event (if they finish). Rallying requires a lot of skill and finess which you won't learn in a high power car. Besides with 13K you will barely have enough to finish the car let alone pay to fix it after you break it on the first event. Rallying gets really expensive really really quickly. Just remember learn to outdrive your car not learn to keep up with the car. That's the KEY.!!!

Could get an early 90s legacy. Not too much power there. Would leave you with some cash for parts.
