94 SL2 Stalls when driving

Engine stalls sometimes after driving about 1 - 2 miles. Replaced fuel filter, pcv value (was clogged), new plugs. But, still problem. Took to dealer and after 3 days of testing and stalling, they think it is the Ignition Control Module and want to replace it for $330. Can I get a used one or is this only a guess on their part.

Re: 94 SL2 Stalls when driving

after the stall, will it restart right away? hot/cold make a differance(both air temp and engine temp). after the stall, remove the plug wires from the coil packs and crank, is there a spark jumping from tower to tower? when does it stall(driving conditions, accel, traffic, high rpms, ect) do you have a multimeter? i have seen a few cheap ignition modules on ebay latey, but i do not know for a fact that is the problem.

Re: 94 SL2 Stalls when driving

If I wait about a minute it will restart. It stalls when I accel, not high rpms. It happen when I started out from a stop. I just contact a Saturn Salvage yard near me and he wants $35 for the part. He called it the coil pack.
Are they the same thing and he said it is only 4 bolts to
remove it. Is that correct?
